Katinka Pretorius is a lover of beautiful ideas. She started her career in client service at TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris and helped build incredible brands like SPAR, National Brands (now AVI), e.tv, SABC, Nando’s and Standard Bank. A few years later she was headhunted to join Ogilvy Johannesburg to run its prestigious KFC account for 6 years. During this time, KFC was awarded Marketing Organisation of the Year by Sunday Times, won the Apex Grand prix for Sustained Brand Building and many other awards. She also worked on brands Cadbury and Kimberly Clark, before joining M & C Saatchi Abel as Managing Parter and was responsible for the integrated management of Edgars. In 2014, Katinka was appointed MD of Lowe + Partners (now called Mullenlowe), and, two years later, became the MD of Sunshinegun, a brand design and communications agency. Sunshinegun boasts a portfolio of wonderful clients, including Nando’s Global Business, Nando’s UK, South Africa and other countries, ABInbev, Media24, Incobrands, Werksmans and others.
